BR 1-11: Democracy in Action

There are many ways in which people take part in the democratic process. (p. 5)

Governments make decisions in every country, but the process that governments make decisions takes a long time. Because there are so many people in a country, but they have different thoughts one another in the same country. They want to be reflected on each of their concepts for policies. This book tells us the way how we take part in the democratic process. Election is the basic way to indicate public opinion. However, election reflect only majority's opinion, so people who have minority opinion should act such as movement for their say. Writing letters to politicians is one of the way to express minority thought. I think it is important for people to take part in the democratic process. At least, people should go voting every time elections take place.
