I was touched deeply by the story of this book, The Happy Prince. He was born rich and he had lived all of his life in his palace and its garden, so he didn't know that the poor exists in his country and never care about the people at all. He lived happily and had pure and clear heart, so he was called the Happy Prince by the people lived in his country. Although, he died young. After he died, a gold statue of him was set at a square. The statue had 2 sapphires as his eyes and a ruby in a sword he held and gold leaf covered all over the statue.
One day, a swallow came to the country and was looking for a good viewing place to take a rest and flied around the city. Finally the swallow found a tall column which the statue stood. When he was taking a rest on it, a drop of water fell on him. He thought it started raining. Soon after that, second drop fell on him. Then, he recognized that it was teardrop running from the statue of the prince. After that, the swallow became a friend of the prince and help him for his wishes. Please read it.
