   Washington D.C. is historical place of America, so people do not usually go there for shopping. If you are interested in history of America, I think that you can enjoy to visit there. Washington D.C. means the District of Columbia, and the land was named by George Washington. The reason why he named so is Christopher Columbus was the first European to visit America. There are many memorials and monuments in Washington D.C. For example, there are The Washington Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial and The Vietnam Veterans Memorial. There are also great museums there, National Air and Space Museum, National Museum of American History and National Museum of Natural History. That's why I think Washington D.C. is the best place to learn history of America.
